Your Guide to 4th of July Celebrations Around Boise & Eagle

Kel & Company July 1, 2025

As summer arrives, Boise and neighboring Eagle light up with festive events that bring together families, friends, and neighbors to celebrate Independence Day in true Treasure Valley style. Here's your go-to guide for parades, fireworks, and family fun this July 4th.

Boise: Patriotic Parade & Fireworks at Ann Morrison Park

  • Idaho 4th of July Parade (Downtown Boise): The annual Star-Spangled 4th Parade rolls through downtown Boise—Bannock and Jefferson streets in front of the State Capitol—starting at 10 AM. Expect local marching bands, patriotic floats, youth groups, and the esteemed grand marshal, often a community leader honored for civic contributions. Earlier in the morning, around 6:30 AM, you’ll catch the fun hot-air-balloon display and a community pancake breakfast in Cecil D. Andrus Park
  • Fireworks at Ann Morrison Park: Starting about 6 PM, the park buzzes with food vendors, games, and an interactive fountain that often lights up red, white, and blue Expect a dazzling fireworks show around 10:15 PM, broadcast over 107.1 Hank FM

Tip: There’s no vehicle access—plan to bike, walk, or ride-share in, and check out overflow parking options nearby

How to Prep: Bring blankets or folding chairs, pack sunscreen and bug spray, and save space at dawn if you want a prime spot.

Eagle: Community Vibes & Neighborhood Fun

  • Eagle Fun Days: While not a dedicated 4th of July event, Eagle Fun Days rolls right into the holiday weekend, offering a family-centric celebration with carnival rides, food trucks, DJ music, and water fun at Eagle High School (5–8 PM).
  • Parade & Car Show: A hometown-style parade on State Street at 1 PM, followed by a classic car show downtown—perfect for all ages to enjoy close to home.
  • Fireworks Alternatives: Eagle’s fireworks have been historically part of Fun Days, but were cancelled in 2025. Instead, families may enjoy neighborhood fireworks displays or head to Boise.
  • Neighbourhood & DIY Fun: Consider rounding up friends for a bike parade, BBQ in Arboretum Park, or splash pad afternoon—adding local charm to your festivities.

Family-Friendly Flair Across Treasure Valley

  • Kuna Celebration: With food trucks, live music, and a gentle fireworks show at Bernie Fisher Park, it's a great option for those seeking smaller crowds.
  • Meridian Storey Park BBQ: Enjoy family picnics and fireworks in a relaxed park environment.
  • River Float & Greenbelt Strolls: For a laid-back and scenic Independence Day, enjoy biking the Greenbelt or floating the Boise River in the afternoon. Many families combine this with evening park celebrations.

From the grand Boise parade and fireworks spectacle to Eagle’s hometown carnival and neighborhood pops, the Treasure Valley offers something special for everyone this 4th of July. Whether you’re seeking energetic fireworks or a laid-back family gathering, these local events deliver community spirit, outdoor fun, and patriotic pride.
